Musical bon vivant Tony Ferraro (Fate Lions, late of Eaton Lake Tonics) is accepting submissions for volume three of his and booking agent/promoter Ben Rogers’ free digital compilation CD series, One Hundred Second Dash. Previous contributors include several North Texas heavy hitters, including Telegraph Canyon, Best Fwends, Whiskey Folk Ramblers’ Tyler Rougeux, Drug Mountain (R.I.P.), Clint Niosi, Matthew and the Arrogant Sea, Tame … Tame and Quiet (R.I.P.), New Science Projects, Eat Avery’s Bones, Darktown Strutters, and Darth Vato (R.I.P.), among others. For Vol. 3, Ferraro says he’s already received 15 songs. Prospective release date is May. “Gotta rally some lates,” he said. The point of the series, Ferraro and company say, is “to make art more accessible and educate artists in furthering their craft.” Interested? Send song files to 100secdash@gmail.com. Any genre is welcome, though, understand, your twangified paean to drankin’ beer, drivin’ down I-35 all the time, and chasin’ skirts is liable to be met with kind rejection. And true to the series’ title, all submissions must be around 100 seconds long.
