Texas Music chanteuse Maren Morris is putting the finishing touches on her third album. Recorded just a couple of weeks ago at Bass Propulsion Laboratories in Dallas (Deep Blue Something, Calhoun, Collin Herring), Livewire promises to be “a bit more rocking in places, still rootsy in others and has some piano tunes since she started writing on that instrument” in addition to guitar, according to her father and manager, Scott Morris. The album was co-produced by Maren and her lead guitarist, Taylor Tatsch (The Bright, Little Black Dress), and includes contributions from Calhoun’s Toby Pipes and drummer and TCU grad Cooper Heffley (too many bands to name).
