Robots premieres at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History’s IMAX theater.

Wed 3 – For almost 50 years, Tom Stoppard has been bringing philosophy to the stage in his funny, energetic, intellectually questing plays. His latest is The Hard Problem, a drama about a brain researcher seeking a key to human consciousness that drew mixed reviews when it debuted in London earlier this year. You can see a broadcast of that performance at 2pm & 7pm at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, 3200 Darnell St, FW. Tickets are $12-20. Call 817-923-3012.

Thurs 4 – Soccer games don’t usually get rained out, but last week’s torrential downpour managed to do just that to Fort Worth Vaqueros’ home game against San Antonio. That game has been postponed until July, but the team has another home date this evening, this one against FC Wichita. College students can get in free with their ID. Kickoff is at 7:30pm at Martin Field, 599 Collard St, FW. Admission is $5-10. Call 817-200-7355.

Fri 5 – June means it’s time once again for Concerts in the Garden. This 25th season of the Fort Worth institution kicks off tonight with the smooth jazz sounds of Pink Martini, accompanied by Miguel Harth-Bedoya himself. Along with the usual firework shows and tributes to classic rock bands, the rest of the season also includes a concert of video-game music. The music starts at 7:30pm at Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, FW. Tickets are $30. Call 817-665-6000.

Sat 6 – The Modern wants to let people like you photograph the works in its collection so it can see what its art looks like to both the real and social media communities. To that end, it’s hosting #emptymodern Instameet, your chance to take pictures of the works before the museum opens. You’ll have to register beforehand, but the best photographers will win prizes. Registration is at 8:30am, while the picture-taking is at 9am at 3200 Darnell St, FW. Registration is free. Call 817-738-9215.

Sun 7 – The third annual Fort Worth Bizarre Film Festival runs for only one evening, so be sure to be at Four Day Weekend Theatre. The synopses of the films on tap are actually a bit short on bizarre details, but The Collectors is a movie about zombies afraid of humans, while Little Socrates is about an 11-year-old boy starring in a play about the Greek philosopher’s death. The festival starts at 4:30pm at 312 Houston St, FW. Tickets are $10-12. Call 682-203-1940.

Mon 8 – Tonight, the Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge turns itself into a comedy club as the Class Clowns of Comedy play for one night. Wait, don’t “class clowns” imply a comedy act? Or are they indicating an intellectual theme for the evening? Whichever it is, the six stand-ups taking the stage will try to help you laugh away your Monday blues. The event starts at 7:30pm at 1311 Lipscomb St, FW. Tickets are $10-15. Call 817-926-0986.

Tues 9 – At a time when a lot of recent movies are wondering whether we’re going to be replaced by robots, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History comes out with Robots, an IMAX film that will likely present a much rosier picture of what machines are doing in our world. The film is narrated by RoboThespian, whose voice is provided by Simon Pegg. At least he hasn’t been fully automated yet. The film starts Sun and runs indefinitely at 1600 Gendy St, FW. Tickets are $6-7. Call 817-255-9300.
