USA Today predicts Texas Christian University’s football team could earn a Sugar Bowl berth with a big win against Iowa State on Saturday.
The Horned Frogs are on a six-game winning streak after slaughtering the Texas Longhorns 48-10 last week.
The Frogs shouldn’t have much trouble with a 2-9 Iowa State team, but no game’s a sure thing or they wouldn’t bother playing.
The sports site Bleacher Report sees things differently; they figure Baylor University will beat No. 12 Kansas State on Saturday and leap frog the Frogs for a Sugar Bowl berth against Alavama. Baylor beat TCU in a 61-58 barn burner earlier this year.
But, c’mon, does anybody think the Bears are better than the Frogs this season?
The game will be played at 11 a.m. Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium, and broadcast on ABC.
