Russian conductors don’t often try their hand at Italian opera, but the estimable Semyon Bychkov headed up the Met’s production of Verdi’s Otello in 2012. You can see an encore broadcast of that performance tonight at your local movie theater, which includes Renée Fleming reprising (likely for the last time) the role of Desdemona, which she had such great success with to start her career. The opera screens at 6:30pm at various theaters. Check Calendar for locations. Tickets are $16-24. Call 818-761-6100.
