Kenneth Branagh won raves for his theater-in-the-round version of Macbeth, which he staged earlier this year in a deconsecrated church in Manchester, with rain falling on the dirt stage in mid-performance and audience members positioned so close to the actors that they got sloshed with mud. You can see this thrilling production without getting your clothes dirty when it’s broadcast at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worh at 2pm & 7pm at 3200 Darnell St, FW. Tickets are $10-18. Call 817-738-9215.

The Japanese violinist Midori brings an esoteric program to her concert at Bass Hall this evening. Among the rarities that she’ll play are Paul Hindemith’s brief, pointed Sonata for Piano and Violin in E major and Ernest Bloch’s electrifying one-movement Second Violin Sonata, nicknamed “Poème mystique” and featuring an interlude inspired by Gregorian chants, an odd touch from a proudly Jewish composer. The recital begins at 7:30pm at 555 Commerce St, FW. Tickets are $20-90. Call 817-212-4280.
