FRIDAY May 7

At 6pm Fri and 7:15pm Sun, go behind the scenes with Sesame Street artists, creators, and educators at a screening of the documentary film Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street at Texas Theatre (231 W Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, 214-948-1546). Tickets are $10 at TexasTheatre.org.

 

SATURDAY May 8

From noon to 8pm, head to the West Main Arts Fest in front of Create Arlington at the 200 and 300 Block of West Main Street (682-248-8424). Stroll through a three-block scene that will include 78 art booths, 30 bands on three stages, eight food and drink vendors — some selling beer and wine — and two large sidewalk-chalk murals for kids and adults to draw together. You are welcome to bring your pets and lawn chairs. This event is free to attend.

 

SUNDAY May 9

From 11am to 2pm, local amateur bakers can participate in The Great British Fort Worth Bake-Off hosted by Deliciousness from Ally’s Kitchen at The Table Market (120 St. Louis Av, Fort Worth, 682-703-1092). The $5 fee benefits Presbyterian Night Shelter. The contest categories include Your Signature Bake (adults and kids), Technical Challenge, and Show Stopper Challenge. MONDAY May 10

Regardless of what the Vandoliers say, there are good things that happen in Pantego. Every Mon from 7 to 9pm, join the PubGuys for Trivia Night at Dr. Jeckyll’s Beer Lab (2420 W Park Row, Pantego, 817-274-7405). Along with trivia, this craft beer bar does growler fills and has live music, games, and open mic nights, too.

 

TUESDAY May 11

On Tue thru Thu, May 11, at 7:30pm, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Vivaldi: The Four Seasons by Mozart at Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium (3401 W Lancaster Av, Fort Worth, 817-665-6000) featuring conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya and violinist Benjamin Baker.
