At least 200 volunteers showed up at the Boys & Girls Club in east Fort Worth on Friday to build a shiny new playground for the community center.
The latest attraction is at the southwest corner of Avenue G and Vaughn streets across from the Boys and Girls Club on Rosedale Street across from Texas Wesleyan University. The project was funded by KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit focused on building community playgrounds.
For “Build Day,” the club’s youngsters brought water to the mulch-dragging, mulch-raking, pickaxe-swinging, wheelbarrow-pushing volunteers.
