Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bobby Carpenter caught a lot of grief during his four-year tenure with the team.

The 2006 first-round draft pick was later nicknamed “Barbie” and featured on a blog site.

Yep, it was fun bashing Barbie for a few years, but it was also nice to see him leave town in a trade this spring that brought the Cowboys offensive lineman Alex Barron — whose play, as it turns out, is indeed offensive.

Carpenter had difficulty tackling anybody, but I don’t recall him losing any games for us.

Barron, in his first game, drew three holding penalties — including a hold on the final play that wiped out the game-winning touchdown against our division rival Washington Redskins.

Hey, mistakes happen. I was willing to forgive and forget — until the camera showed Barron after the game, smiling and laughing while talking to a Redskins player.

WTF? Less than a minute after blowing a win in the season opener on the road against the Redskins, the bum most responsible for the loss is chuckling it up with the enemy?

Jerry Jones should cut this turkey.

Until then, someone ought to start a new blog called “Alexa Barroness.”

  1. We get rid of an O-lineman with a penalty problem (Flozell Adams) and then trade for another loser who can’t block without getting penalized. Perfect solution.

Let’s hope Mark Columbo returns to the lineup soon so Alex Barron can sit his ass on the bench where he belongs.
