Three white billy goats were crossing the Jacksboro Highway while I was driving back from lunch a few minutes ago.
I didn’t have my camera with me, but they looked kind of like this guy:
I’m not sure where they were coming from or where they were going, but they walked with purpose and so they must have been on an important goat mission of some sort.
They probably escaped for their lives from Deborah Rogers goat farm, a place not far from a Chesapeake gas well and one of the reasons why I hate Fort Worth.
Don, you don’t hate Fort Worth or you wouldn’t fight so hard to preserve it.
I’ve seen them! I’ve also seen a guy with a goat on a leash near Jacksboro Hwy. It’s pretty awesome. FW Rocks!
That reminds me of the adam sandler bit “The Talking Goat” of the album “What the hell happened to me”. Me and my high school chums would listen to that cd and laugh for hours. Oh, the follys of youth.
You people must be awful young, and not from that area. For years, talking decades, there was a farm out near the lake. It was a sort of rehab for drunks from Ft. Worth. It was also qualified for some time in the 80’s to have parolees. But it was a sort of safe haven, and a place for basically winos to dry out in peace. I moved from Ft Worth in 2002 so I have lost track of what happened to the Goat Farm.
