In addition to great deals, the Dinner Roll is all about new places to eat. Tim Love’s new gourmet burger joint opens its doors next week, and a much-needed fine dining restaurant has opened up in Weatherford.
Love Shack So7 (817 Matisse St, Ste 445, 76107 phone: 817-348-9655) will be opening its doors next week in the swankiest of locations. Chef Love’s newest namesake will feature some twists on his usual menu, including a lobster roll, fish burger, and a variety of appetizers served on butcher paper. Love also will be doing a Sunday brunch. On Aug. 2, Love Shack So7 will be hosting a BBQ event to celebrate lamb. The event, called For the Love of Lamb, will feature a special dirty lamb burger, lamb cooking demos, and a celebrity chef cook-off with Richard Blais and Ilan Hall from Bravo’s Top Chef, among others.
Clear Fork Grill (29 Crow Rd, Weatherford, 76087 phone: 817-441-2300) Just opened up last month. It’s self-described true Texas cuisine with a Mediterranean flair, and is open seven nights a week. They offer everything ranging from tenderloin to handmade pizzas with house-made crust to regular ol’ half-pound burgers to steakhouse burgers with cabernet onions on a baked ciabatta bun. They use a lot of local ingredients and feature a lot of big, Texas flavors. Good times in Weatherford.
And in non-new restaurant news:
Bistro Louise (2900 S Hulen St, 76102 phone: 817-922-9244) is featuring a Scrumptious Summer Suppers (sigh) deal. Besides lame alliteration, Chef Louise Lamensdorf is offering her guests a light summer menu that includes a stacked vegetable salad with shrimp, chilled bucatini salad with cherry tomatoes and littleneck clams, lobster Newburg au gratin, and tenderloin-stuffed pepper with bucatini pasta and marinara sauce for $16.95 and a slow-roasted short-rib dinner for $22.
