In addition to The Where House on Hemphill, The Gallery at Landers Machine Shop (207 E. Broadway, 817-917-7123), which Dan McGraw wrote about at its inception, is serving as another viable alt-space for exhibits and performances. Zombie Shark Attack and Matt Cliff and fellow War Ager Josh Duran have already played there, along with two Music Awards nominees: Eaton Lake Tonics and Phantom Caste –– both also will be playing our Music Awards Festival, Sun., June 27, in the West 7th Street corridor. On Sat., June 26, at Landers, Phantom Caste will celebrate the release of a new EP with Electronic Toys and multiple Music Awards nominee, Titanmoon (who also will be playing the June 27 festival). On Fri., June 18, there’ll be a DJ party.

Perhaps Landers’ biggest show will be Tease-O-Rama on October 3. There’ll be three rockabilly bands, a pin-up contest, half-a-dozen pin-up photographers on hand, including Roy Varga, 20 vendors, a cash bar provided by Iron Horse Bar & Grill, and a burlesque show.
