Unless you’re marching in a parade or work for the Weekly, you probably have Monday off, meaning that Sunday will be like an extra Saturday, meaning that you can go to The Burning Hotels’ and The Orbans’ show at The Moon (2911 W. Berry St., by TCU, 817-926-9600) and tell your alarm to kiss your ass as you pass out afterward –– that is, if you can even get a drink. “Intimate” club + easily two of Fort Worth’s biggest indie-rock bands = madness.

Caves Lounge is now having live music on Sundays. This week, it’s Dallas’ Hit & Run along with two Fort Worth outfits, the Motorhead-ish Dangits and the groovily named Zombie Shark Attack! (Their exclamation point, not mine.)

Should your tastes run less toward indie- and hard-rock and more toward conjunto, Tejano, reggaeton, and hip-hop, Cowtown Cinco de Mayo is happening on Sunday from noon ‘til 10 p.m. downtown on Main Street between 9th and 5th streets. There’ll be two stages. On the main one will be Jimmy Gonzalez y El Grupo Mazz, Baraja de Oro, Jaime y Los Chamacos, Grupo Stampede, and others. On the other stage, the Hip-Hop Stage, will be a slew of locals, including Lil’ Cas-Iron, Royal South, Snow, and Smooth Vega. Admission is $5 per person. Kids 10 and under, free. And proceeds will benefit the Fort Worth chapter of the National Latino Peace Officers Association. There’ll be food there, too, and cold, refreshing beverages of both the child and adult kind.
