The best news in recent memory is that Lance Yocom, recently hospitalized for severe pneumonia, is on the road to recovery. The good news is that the benefit that we and Lola’s Saloon threw for him at Lola’s this past Saturday, with Telegraph Canyon, Seryn, Calhoun, Doug Burr, Kevin Aldridge, The Cush, and Luke Wade, raised precisely $3,967 to help Yocom’s recovery efforts. Nearly 500 people came and went throughout the day –– the first band went on at 5pm –– and by the time Telegraph got going around midnight, the place was packed. Many thanks to everyone who showed up and to the donors who couldn’t be there.
