At the Friday Double Wide CD release show for THe BAcksliders’ new album, THe BAcksliders from Dallas, Texas (check out Ken Shimamoto’s review here), Fort Worthian Nathan Brown will be on hand, representing his 8-track record label, repair shop, and retailer, The Dead Media, and selling vintage tapes, Dead Media releases, and copies of his company’s latest offering, an 8-track by RTB2, a Denton band fronted by Ryan Thomas Becker (The Missile Men) that will open for THe BAcksliders at the Double Wide. Brown also encourages anyone who has a broken or out-of-alignment 8-track player to bring it to the show –– Brown will make repairs.
