Dayne’s Craft Barbecue has built an enviable reputation as one of the top purveyors of Texas-style ’cue in the region if not the entire state. Married co-owners Dayne and Ashley Weaver recently announced they are opening their first brick-and-mortar location this fall in Aledo. For the past two years, the crew has been serving food from a trailer at various venues.

Aledo Mayor Nick Stanley said he is excited to welcome Dayne’s to the growing city just west of Fort Worth.

“Their food is outstanding, and Dayne’s has a wonderful and far-reaching reputation,” Stanley said, adding that they are “a welcome addition to Aledo, and their presence downtown will serve as a catalyst for our growing culinary scene.”

The new space at 100 N Front St will offer indoor dining and a pit area “with room for three 1,000-gallon Centex smokers,” Dayne’s said.

Lunch will be served Wed-Sun. Breakfast, dinner, and staff will be added as needed, the restaurant said.

Dayne’s will continue operating its food trailer at 9812 Camp Bowie West until the Aledo building is ready. The menu will remain the same.

Ashley said the original plan was to open a permanent spot on Camp Bowie Boulevard, but the new location allowed for a quicker turnaround.

Opening on Camp Bowie was “just going to take way more time and money than either [the property owner] or Dayne and I realized,” Ashley said. “We received an incredible opportunity to open within the next couple of months … in Aledo. That makes sense for us and our crew.”
