The Christmas Tree tradition started with Amon Carter in 1947, according to a Sundance Square spokesperson. The tree, which is currently funded through private donations, has been placed in Sundance Square since 2004.
This year’s decor comes via 50 local artists who painted beach ball-sized ornaments through a painting session organized by Art Tooth, Artspace111, and Sundance Square.
