For several years, Fort Worthians greedily grabbed copies of the Weekly to see what Chow, Baby had to say about this or that restaurant. The weekly column was cut when COVID-19 temporarily slashed our paper’s advertising revenue. The identity of the column’s author remained hidden. Until now. We sat down with former Weekly associate editor Eric Griffey to chat about his alter ego who gained allies and enemies through brutally honest food criticism. Griffey told us about the history of the column and how his past stints in the food industry prepared him to write humorous and insightful reviews.
