The Caravan is an award-winning, 105-minute film that chronicles a horse-driven journey of self-discovery.

The New York City-based Equus Film Festival was created in 2013 to spotlight creative efforts that pay homage to the horse. And guess which film recently won the 2015 Best of Festival Award? The one that’s showing in your own backyard this Saturday.

Proceeds benefit the Equine Rescue and Adoption Division of the Humane Society of North Texas.

The North Texas Whip Carriage Driving Club is hosting a screening of The Caravan at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ridglea Theater, 6025 Camp Bowie Blvd. Tickets are $9 to $19.
