Thanks to the folks at The Collective Brewing Project for partnering with Fort Worth Weekly for this competition. We had 21 entrees under the hashtag #ontapfw, including one sent from Britain. After careful consideration, Ryan Deyo and Mike Goldfuss chose three winners whose photos are published online here. The victors can stop by CBP to pick up a $25 gift certificate redeemable at the brewpub and a framed certificate. In the coming months, I plan to hold another Instagram contest with a local brewery or brewpub, so follow On Tap in Fort Worth for updates.
1st Place: Michael Montgomery @monty176
Bio. “I’ve been homebrewing for just over a year and enjoy experimenting with natural flavors and subtle nuances to my brew. I’ve lived in Parker and Tarrant counties most of my life, but turned 21 in Fort Collins, Colorado where I was baptized in the good craft brew scene there. Odell’s was my first brewery crush and lately I’ve enjoyed Funkwerks. I’m excited to see the North Texas brew scene grow and flourish with great Texas culture and craft food. You’ll find me at Collective Brewing Project and The Bearded Lady when I’m about town – my favorite watering holes. Cheers!”
2nd Place: David Harman @cowtownjacket
“I am a home brewer, beer connoisseur, and local brewery aficionado. As a resident of Fairmont, I was excited to see another local brewery and taproom move in just up the street. Little did I know The Collective Brewing Project would become a second living room full of friends I gladly call family. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL, educated at Georgia Tech and Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and live with my beautiful wife Jennifer and our sweet dog, Mirage, in Fort Worth. I love to travel, having visited four continents and over 25 countries. I play kickball and both indoor and outdoor soccer around town. We frequently visit the Collective for its fantastic funkytown series, their great bar staff, and wonderful owners. As an engineer by day, it is always a great place to unwind at night. Come find me at the bar!”
Third Place: Christian Villaseñor @chrisvilla9
“Thank for you for picking me as one of the winners on your instagram challenge. I really enjoyed your brewery as it is one of the few in Fort Worth that opens for longer hours and has really good AC. The beer is phenomenal, and the two different size cups you offer are great for a tasting experience.
I enjoy drinking the Collective Brewing Project beer and will see you again soon!”
