At 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Trinity River Vision Authority is throwing a party for Fort Worth’s birthday. Pantherfest, an all-day celebration of all things Fort Worth, will feature 10 local bands on two stages, Texas beers, food from Fort Worth restaurants, a fireworks display, and a giant slip-n-slide. At 11:30 a.m. at the Main Street Bridge, the gates will open to the general public. At 5:30 p.m., tubers will attempt to break the world slip-n-slide record. The after-party will be at the River Run Roadhouse (formerly J&J’s Blues Bar). Fort Worth Weekly is a sponsor, so you know it’s a party.
