When I filled my gas tank last week, the cost was over $3 a gallon.
Today — $2.89 a gallon.
Seems like it’s been a couple years since I recall seeing a “2” at the front of a gas price.

Oil producers aren’t happy. Prices are dropping as North America boosts production and OPEC nations crank out the crude. Experts predict pump prices might continue to fall for another month or so.
That means I can save $25 in gas when I drive to Shreveport to lose $300 at the blackjack table.
My wife said gas was $2.75/gallon at the Quick Trip at the intersection of Northside Drive and North Main Street this afternoon.
Why do you consider cheaper gasoline a good thing? It is gasoline that has pretty much destroyed our air, our cities, our neighborhoods, and our health. If gasoline were priced to reflect the damage it has done, it would be over 10 dollars a gallon.
You would rather have $10 a gallon gasoline?
The transition from gas to electric and hybrids is underway. Higher gas prices are helping that happen, along with a younger generation that doesn’t want to see their world choked out. I see change happening. Getting a temporary break at the pump isn’t going to stop that.
