Jimmy Buffett’s summer tour will take him across the Midwest and the East Coast in support of his new album Songs From St. Somewhere (2013).
The concert ticket drawing the biggest bucks on the aftermarket, however, is to Buffett’s Fort Worth gig.
Most of the tickets offered on StubHub! for Buffett’s summer shows are bringing less than $100.
But tickets for the June 19 “Live at the Drive-In” performance by Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band — the inaugural concert at Coyote Drive-In — are fetching twice as much.
For example, tickets to the Buffett and John Fogerty show in Frisco on Saturday, June 21 are selling for $82 at StubHub!.
Tickets to the Coyote Drive-In show are selling for $170 (the original price was $125, but the show quickly sold out).
VividSeats is offering tickets for $244, and this site is offering them for $264 each.
The Coyote only holds about 1,300 cars, making the ticket harder to get than to the show at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, which has 20,500 seats.
Buffett’s Coyote show will be simulcast to drive-in theaters around the country, where tickets will be selling for $18.
Being surrounded by people wearing silly costumes and singing Margaritaville louder than Buffett is my idea of hell
Wonder what Weezer’s idea of heaven is?

Jeff Prince is morphing into Bud Kennedy right before our very eyes. Don’t be a pivot man like Kennedy, Prince.
