Here’s the lineup for Fort Worth Weekly’s 11th Annual Music Awards Festival (MAF’13), taking place on Sunday, June 23, at eight venues in the West 7th corridor. Admission to the festival is freeeee. If you’re the kind of person whose familial or work obligations prevent you from getting out on weekends to experience all of the cool bands in town that we beat you over the head with every week, well, no need to thank us (though a shot of Maker’s would not be rejected outright; just sayin’). And be sure to tell all your friends, family members, co-workers, mail carriers, and fellow Target shoppers. And if you have to get a sitter, then by God, man, get one already!

  1. Well, there will be a little Texas flavor in the form of Holy Moly, Derek Larson, Kevin Aldridge, Patriot, Jacob Furr, and Siberian Traps. But you’re right. We could always use more straight-ahead Texas Music. I’ll keep that in mind when I book the event next year. As you can imagine I wish EVERY nominee could play, but we’re a small operation and have only so much manpower for production purposes.

  2. Due to a simple miscommunication, Doom Ghost is unable to play this year, which is a bummer.

And as talented as P.A.T. is, Linda, he is not a nominee; maybe next year, after her builds a stronger local following.
