Lots of organizations are taking advantage of the warmer weather to put on events to get you out of the house and ready for the upcoming season. If you’re looking to restock your wardrobe for spring and summer, the Dallas Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show (which, despite its name, is in Grapevine) offers garments from the 1980s and further back. If you’re looking to get in the mood for racing season or just look at some shiny hot rods and muscle cars, the Lone Star Nationals occupy Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. And if you’re planning some home improvement projects, the Texas Home and Garden Show moves from Cowboys Stadium (where it was last week) to Fort Worth Convention Center.
However, if you’re just out to enjoy yourself, your best bet is the second annual Spring Out: Art and Music Festival. Put on by the Tarrant County Gay Pride Week Association as a showcase for LGBT artists and musicians, this family-friendly festival will take place at the comfy Trinity Park Pavilion. Metaphorically and literally, this event is a great chance to get some fresh air.
