Celebrate the spooky season and the Northside’s rich Mexican heritage at Artes de la Rosa’s 10th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Festival. In addition to a drum and puppet procession from Marine Park to the Rose Marine Theater plaza, the event features music, dancing, face painting, and pan de muerto or “bread of the dead.” The party gets started at 7pm at 1440 N Main St, FW. Open Streets is back. This semi-regular, family-friendly Near Southside event includes yoga classes, art activities, face painting, live music, and food trucks. West Magnolia Avenue will be blocked off to allow for freewheeling on bike, skateboard, or other human-powered conveyance. Going from noon ’til 4pm, Open Streets is a great way to enjoy perhaps the coolest neighborhood in town. Admission is free.

Artisan Theater Center is putting on the dance-tastic hit Jan 2-Feb 9 and is looking for some triple threats, starting at 7pm today and tomorrow.
