Good news for everyone except tinnitus sufferers — the courthouse clock tower will resume ringing today.
Other than sporadic test rings, the tower bell has been quiet since a $4.5 million reconstruction project began in April 2011.
Tarrant County Judge B. Glen Whitley will lead a rededication at 11:45 a.m. today in front of the courthouse at 100 Main St.
The bell will ring at noon, everyone will go “yaayyy!” and then the clock bell will resume its regular peals of glory every hour on the hour.
At least until the Apocalypse.
