THIS ISN'T MUCH OF A MUSCLE, BUT IT'S ALL THE COWBOYS GET UNTIL THEY CRACK INTO THE TOP 5 ON THE POWER RANKINGS.

Brian Billick’s NFL power rankings don’t often embrace the Dallas Cowboys, but the team is currently listed No. 6 and ranked higher than any of its NFC East rivals.

Billick, a Super Bowl winning former head coach, writes this about the ‘Boys: “I’m always slow to jump on the Cowboys bandwagon each year, but they looked like the clear frontrunner in the NFC East — quite possibly the best division in football. Tony Romo was consistent on offense and DeMarcus Ware’s two sacks kicked off his DPOY campaign.”

DPOY is defensive player of the year. That’s good.

Yahoo! Sports lists the Cowboys at No. 8, well ahead of its NFC East Rivals. Yahoo! even says the Cowboys could be sitting at 3-0 by September’s end.

The mental midgets at ESPN rank the Cowboys at a more modest No. 10, and listed NFC East rival New York Giants at No. 7.

Didn’t those ESPN bozos just see the Cowboys throttle the Giants in front of a national TV audience last Wednesday in New York?
