You don’t get to use the word “Fellini-esque” very often in life, but that’s as accurate a description as any for the work done by Hip Pocket Theatre. These are performers who’ve incorporated their art seamlessly into their lives and, for the past 35 years, have been sharing both with the community. A fundraiser for the theater happens 7-10pm this Saturday (Apr 7) at Arts Fifth Avenue. “A Pocket Full of Art” is a casual event with food, live auction, performances, music by the Joe Rogers Trio, and an announcement of their upcoming season by Hip Pocket co-founder and genuine eccentric Johnny Simons. Tix are $20 per person, $36 per couple.
I wanna go! Somebody please go for me.
