If you’ve never attended one of the Fort Worth Art Dealer’s Association’s annual Spring Gallery Nights, do yourself a favor and hit this Saturday night’s (Mar 24) 2012 edition. Officially, the evening is a loosely coordinated collection of openings, receptions, displays, talks, and demonstrations at the city’s major galleries and museums as well as some participating retailers and restaurants. Unofficially, it’s a people watcher’s paradise where, fueled by plastic cups of wine, you will encounter art in all different kinds of media that is wonderful, baffling, and (just occasionally) kind of awful. But that’s the beauty of the art world –– everyone’s got an opinion, and nobody’s wrong.
