Variety magazine reports that producer Molly Smith (The Blind Side and P.S. I Love You) is planning on making a movie about Barry Switzer’s life, based on his autobiography “The Bootlegger’s Boy.”
It will be interesting to see which actor portrays Switzer — and which actor plays Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman, who made no bones about disliking his head coach.
To play a young Switzer, I’d hire Leonardo DiCaprio. After all, DiCaprio is already slated to play Majors’ role in a movie remake of The Bionic Man. It all seems so perfect. And besides, bad reviews for DiCaprio’s last flick J. Edgar proves that nobody wants to see him in pancake makeup playing an old guy.
