As a UNT art professor told me many moons ago, drawing is an excellent, unsung form of meditation –– as long as you don’t get hung up on turning the final picture into some kind of masterpiece. The key is to draw only the lines you see, as you see them, and suddenly you find yourself lost in the work. Tarrant County College art professor Brett Dyer will host an adult still life drawing class called “Draw ‘Til Dusk” 6-7:30pm tomorrow (Thu Jan 26) at the Amon Carter Museum. It’s free, no reservations are required, and they’ll provide you with pencil and paper if you don’t have a sketchbook. What else do you want, someone to put the pencil in your hand and move it across the page for you? Jeez, just go already.
