The super-hip indie-music festival 35 Denton (March 8-11, Denton) has added to its list of artists from all over 82 North Texas artists, including several from yon town of cow.
Fort Worth artists chosen to perform include killer garage-rockers Doom Ghost (whose debut album, Demos, made HearSay’s top 10 local albums of 2011), Burning Hotels (of course), the blistering hard-rock trio The Phuss, ’60s-throwback ruffians War Party, Southern Gothic singer-songwriter Clint Niosi, and the partially Fort Worth-based, partially Denton-based Two Knights, whose 2011 album, Quilt Chamberlain, also made HearSay’s top 10.
Interestingly, in the press release from 35 Denton, Doug Burr is labeled as from Fort Worth –– unless he recently relocated, he’s a Denton dude.
35 Denton headliners include Built to Spill, Bun B, Mountain Goats, Devin the Dude, The Raincoats, and Om.
