Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman got Tony Romo to open up in an interview that aired on FOX 4 prior to yesterday’s thrilling overtime victory against the Washington Redskins.
Toward the end of the conversation, Aikman congratulated Romo for becoming an expectant father.
“Any names picked out? Feel free to name him Troy,” Aikman said.
“Maybe for the middle name,” Romo laughed.
Now Romo has a first name.
Name the kid after the wide receiver who made the clutch catch on third-and-15 in overtime to set up the winning field goal over the Redskins, which keeps the Cowboys on the playoff track and douses critics who say Romo folds in crucial moments.
Name the kid after Dez Bryant.
That would make the kid’s name…
DezTroy.
DezTroy Romo.
It’s got a ring to it.
And if the kid doesn’t inherit his dad’s knack for throwing a football, he’ll have the perfect name for a professional wrestler.
