We’ve written about Andrew Disney, and we’ve even given him awards, but if you’re in Austin this weekend, you can finally see what the fuss is all about when his feature film debut Searching for Sonny has its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival. The movie’s new trailer is here:
That is Minka Kelly as the female lead, so if you’re bummed about the recent cancellation of the Charlie’s Angels reboot that she was starring in, you can see her here. Meanwhile the male lead is Jason Dohring, best known for his work on Veronica Mars, a show whose cancellation I’m still bummed about.
Of course, you could just stay here in Fort Worth and wait a few weeks for the movie to play at this year’s Lone Star International Film Festival. That’s what I’ll be doing, but the wait won’t be easy.
