Seemingly forever (or at least since the 1990s), super-bassist Aden Bubeck has been a Fort Worth fixture, backing up solo singer-songwriters here and there and throwing down heaviosity with his fusion project, Bertha Coolidge, even less frequently. For the past several years, he’s been providing the bottom end for the tuneage of country superstar Miranda Lambert. Evidently, he’s also been preaching the rock ’n’ roll gospel to his boogie chillun.
With his two kids –– 13-year-old son Skylar and 12-year-old daughter Marvel –– Bubeck has been creating a holy racket as Sea Pigs, an experimental-rock project that will debut Fri, Sep 2, at The Aardvark (2905 W Berry St, TCU area, 817-926-7814), opening for headliners Weeden, a pop-rock outfit from Austin featuring guitarist Alex Weeden from Lambert’s band and Bubeck.
Sea Pigs, based on their homepage here, sound pretty cute. Should be a fun time.

How awesome is this?! Good luck guys! Aden rocks, and I’m sure his kids have the Bubeck music talent!
I clicked your link to hear the “cute” band and I was too horrified by the image on their homepage to listen. What is that thing?
Good question. Aaaaa … potato/turkey?
