This Saturday (August 6) at 8pm, SceneShop will open its annual summer showcase of new short theatrical works by North Texas writers. Lone Star Voices features seven pieces – four monologues, three multi-character scenes – exploring themes that are comic, tragic, and various shades in between.
Stories include a woman trying to to prepare herself to move away from her beloved Texas; a promiscuous Aggie who philosophizes on his bedroom conquests; and a late 19th century outlaw returning to Fort Worth for a showdown. Lone Star Voices runs 8pm Aug 6, 12, and 13 at Arts Fifth Avenue. Tickets are $12.
