HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Maria Reyes!
Ms. Reyes, a resident at the Salvation Army’s Friendship House for low-income seniors turns 100 today. And she’s having a party.
According to a press release by Sally–the name hobo’s gave the Salvation Army a couple of generations ago–Ms. Reyes was born on April 8, 1911 in Leon, Mexico. She married at 13, had 10 children, 27 grand children and 25 great grand children. She spent much of her adult life in El Paso and then Bayard, New Mexico.
We just want to offer her congratulations and wish her a good start on another 100 years.
