In honor of National Beer Day, Thu., Apr. 7, Camp Bowie District will present the inaugural Camp Bowie District Pub Crawl to raise money for boulevard beautification projects.

There will be three stops: Blue Sushi Sake Grill (3131 W. 7th St., 817-332-2583), The Ginger Man (3716 Camp Bowie Blvd., 817-886-2327), and The Wild Rooster (3204 Camp Bowie Blvd., 817-332-WILD). A hand-selected brew from Fort Worth’s Rahr & Sons Brewing Company paired with food will be offered for $10 per person at each location. At Blue, a Rahr Blonde Lager (a medium-bodied traditional Munich Helles-style pale lager) will be paired with a wonton crisp with shrimp/Thai snapper ceviche, mango crab rangoon, Spanish Fly Roll (Hamachi, crab, and shallots, topped by cilantro and jalapeños), and the Red Eye Roll (tempura shrimp, spicy tuna and avocado, topped by spicy crab and red Tobiko). At Ginger Man, Rahr’s Ugly Pug (a black lager but with a light body and slight hints of coffee and chocolate) will be joined by Ginger Man’s signature soft, toasted bite-sized pretzel with German mustard and specialty cheddar cheese and salami assortment. And at the Rooster, Rahr’s Iron Thistle Scotch Ale (a dark, bold Scottish ale with sweet maltiness balanced by hoppy bitterness) will be paired with the Rooster’s killer brisket tacos.

  1. why don’t you extend that pub crawl to a few other bars further down Camp Bowie? This seems quite similar to the pub crawl I discussed with you all not more than 1 month ago?
