Wherever you stand on the debate about an urban streetcar system for Fort Worth, proponents of the plan haven’t given up trying to convince people of the project’s virtues. An example of a modern streetcar will be unveiled tomorrow (Wednesday Nov 17) at 2:15pm in front of the offices of the Trinity River Vision Authority at W 7th St and Throckmorton Ave in downtown Fort Worth. Over the next week, several pro-streetcar groups will host events at the site to inform and educate. From 4-7pm on Saturday (Nov 20), the “new urbanism” advocacy website Fortworthology will have folks at the Trinity River Vision Authority to answer questions about urban streetcar systems and present their case.
Ah, streetcars. Public transportation toys for white people.
