The monthly meeting for the North Central Texas Communities Alliance will be held this Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Hotel Trinity Inn Suites (I-30 and Beach St). Time: 6:30 PM, networking and coffee; 7 PM, meeting and speaker panel; 8:45, networking and coffee.
This month’s topic is Gas Drilling and Clean Water. Guest speakers are Dr. Bobby Deaton, a professor of physics at TWU, who will discuss the geology of the Barnett Shale and how fracking can be done responsibly; David Ritter, a Texas attorney who has specialized in water contamination issues, and Paul Claunch, an attorney specializing in representing clients suffering from cancer due to exposure to toxic chemicals.
The public is welcome and there is no charge.
