If you want to honor the 33rd anniversary of Elvis’ death without driving all the way to Graceland, head to The Wild Rooster Bar on Camp Bowie Boulevard and eat their “Legendary Elvis Sandwich.”
Check out these decadent ingredients listed on the menu: “Grilled Texas toast slathered in peantur butter then layered thick with sliced bananas and thick Applewood bacon. We then lightly drizzle maple syrup and deep fry until golden brown. Dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of grape jelly. Served with fries.”
Sounds tempting.
Don’t worry. It’s much more likely that Elvis died from massive doses of pharmaceutical than from eating these sandwiches.
If you want to stay at home and make your own fried ‘nanner sandwich, here’s a recipe.
Thank ya, thank ya very much.
