Roger Staubach ought to do fine when he throws out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the Texas Rangers home opener at 1:05 p.m. April 5.
First off, he had a great arm as a HOF quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys.
Second, he’s kept himself in good condition for a man of 68 who took a beating in the NFL.
But his ace in the hole — Staubach was captain of the Navy baseball team and batted .422 during college. In this interview from last year he even said baseball takes more skill and coordination than football.
