Ballet Frontier, the performing wing of Ballet Center of Fort Worth, will get a leg up on Christmas, performing The Nutcracker twice on Saturday at Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium. Company director Chung-Lin Tseng, a former principal with Texas Ballet Theater, will dance the Cavalier at the matinee performance and will be joined by Lainey Logan, currently a TBT member, as the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Tseng has revived the choreography of Roy Tobias for the second act: Kingdom of the Sweets. The entire show will be stage-lit by a noted light artist, Austinite Tony Tucci, who has done lighting work for Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, Hong Kong Ballet, and Royal Danish Ballet. — Leonard Eureka
