New York Giants starting safety Kenny Phillips is out for the season with a knee injury, becoming another in a long line of hobbled players on the Giants roster. Still, they managed to thump the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night, thanks in part to Phillips – he had two of the three interceptions thrown by Tony Romo-Oh-No.
Despite the Giants’ growing list of walking wounded, an MSN online survey is asking readers nationwide to pick which football team will win the NFC conference. Last I checked, after more than a quarter million votes only 22 percent had picked the Dallas Cowboys.
That put our silver-and-blue boys in third place behind the Giants (41 percent) and Philadelphia Eagles (31 percent).
This is going to be a fun year — the Cowboys are barely three weeks into the season and already their games feel like must-wins.
The Cowboys are in danger of becoming like the Yankees. Sure, you get the best stadium money can buy, but THEN WHAT?
