According to the Associated Press, bullet-makers can’t keep up with demand. The reason for the spike is what the article calls “the Obama effect.”
This was a pretty alarming quote from the story:
“It always happens when the Democrats get in office. It happened with Clinton and Obama is even stronger for gun control. Ammunition will be the first step, so I’m stocking up while I can.”
I don’t get the paranoia. To my knowledge, Obama hasn’t threatened to take any-one’s guns away. In fact, last month the prez. signed a bill that allows gun-happy folks to carry their pieces into national parks. Here in Texas, our leg. passed a law that allows people to pack heat on college campuses.
Chalk it up to historic distrust.
We have been seen the US Military losing their purchase power for the last eight years.. NRA has been asking citizens to buy akll the ammo they need to last 20 years.
