It’s Thursday. You know what that means: rain. And you know what that means: Thursday Night Live is canceled. Again.
Tonight’s performance by Josh Weathers and the True+Endeavors has been rescheduled for Thur., Oct. 1. Same Bat Time (6 p.m.). Same Bat Place (Central Market, 4651 W. Fwy. at I-30 and S. Hulen St. on the West Side, 817-377-9307).
Next week’s TNL is Doug Burr with Chatterton. The last TNL, on Oct. 8, is The Burning Hotels with Odis.
Speaking of the Hotels, the band is playing tonight (Thursday) at Ridglea Theater (6025 Camp Bowie Blvd., 817-738-9500) along with Stella Rose, Sam Anderson and the Thrift-Store Troubadours, The Future Unlived, and Brandon Steadman Band as part of a benefit show. Tix are $10 online, $15 at the door. Proceeds will go toward St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show starts at 7:30.
The Hotels will be celebrating the release of their forthcoming album, Novels, on New Year’s Eve at Lola’s Saloon-Sixth. The video for the band’s first single, “Austin’s Birthday,” can be viewed below. Great song.
