Well, Kayne West, whom I’m told pronounces his name girly style as Kan-ya as opposed to KaNe, made a fool of himself at the Vh whatever awards last night when he took the mike from newbie-teen Taylor Swift as she received the “Best Female Video of the Year” award, I believe, and announced that Beyonce–who’s pretty cool–should have won it instead of Taylor, and spoiled Taylor’s moment.
That interference has been on the news incessantly for 24-hours. And people are razzing West mercilessly. But what I’m thinking about is Joe Wilson, the third string politician from South Carolina, who dissed President Barack Obama a few days ago. West’s outburst has been covered by the media 100 times more than Wilson’s. Which gives you an idea into where our culture stands. Video awards for singers are more respected than a presidential speech.
That’s scary, because that’s not a democracy in action, that’s a talent show on steroids in action.
Now Kan-ya was obviously drunk when he interrupted Ms. Swift. Wilson, I’ll guess, was also drunk. I’ll bet that guy was carrying a .20 level alcohol load when he burst out his stupid line.
Kan-ya, the sissy, will get over it. Wilson, with his brain dead constituents, will probably get reelected for his outburst.
I’m hoping we come a little closer to the middle before too long. Cause Wilson was dead gone when he cracked wise. At least West has admitted it.

  1. Hmmm… soon after the drunken redneck blurted out what more and more people are realizing – that Obama ” stretches the truth” (ever soooo slightly), a funny thing happened:

“Today, for the first time as far as we know, the administration is backing a provision that would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in a plan selected on the exchange.”

Now what do you suppose precipitated that decision?

Funny how when these stupid people, like Wilson’s brain-dead constituency, raise their voices, Obama quickly changes tack.

Do you think the offensive language was removed from the “lesson plan” accompanying the “speech” by fiat?

Was Obama’s former employer, NUTZ, stripped of State funding because he suddenly discovered child prostitution was distasteful?

Was Van Jones removed because Obama, having known him for so long, suddenly discovered he was a communist whacko?

Was the person responsible at NEA “re-assigned” because Obama suddenly realized that totalitarian-style co-opting of the arts was simply going too far?

Or were these actions a result of brain-dead (presumably white trash as well) drunks speaking up, which (ahem) is an American tradition.

Without the brain-dead to protect them, the terrifically smart might find themselves living in a bankrupt quasi-totalitarian state – without the faintest idea how they got there.

ps: Remember the unrestrained glee from the terrifically-smart left when the Baathist threw the shoes at The President of the United States? Now THAT got some coverage.

  2. obama’s seat,

you probably should go ahead and say ACORN instead of NUTZ when referring to that august institution. since gorman, like charlie gibson, has probably never heard of obama’s pal’s recent scandal,
i doubt he even gets the joke.

here’s gibson on the radio this morning –

“Gibson: HAHAHAHAHA. HEHEHE. I didn’t even know about it. Um. So, you’ve got me at a loss. I don’t know. Uh. Uh. But my goodness, if it’s got everything including sleaziness in it, we should talk about it this morning.”

this after the senate cut off funds to ACORN.

perfect just as gorman laments the lack of press on wilson (i personally have heard a ton of it so i wonder what gorman’s research habits are) i’m wondering where the liberal press has been on ACORN. it has been for all intents and purposes, non-existent.

has the fw weekly written anything about the current ACORN scandal at all?

  3. @dangconservative

“you probably should go ahead and say ACORN instead of NUTZ …”

Probably caused a panic, they thought another gay bar had been stripped of federal funding.

    (It was a joke, guys)
