Bonnell’s Restaurant (4259 Bryant Irvin Rd. FW 76109 phone: 738-5489) is doing a wine tasting of 26 wines on July 28 and July 30. That’s a lot of grape juice. From their marketing material: Taste twenty-six different types of wine, everything from the inexpensive to the rare “cult” wines, while exploring the basics of wine tasting. Heavy appetizers will also be provided as Chef Bonnell shares the basics of wine and food pairings. Class will focus on the fundamentals of white wines on Tuesday, July 28 and then transition to red varietals on Thursday, July 30. The price is $120 for both sessions, and $75 for just one, and there’s a day in between to mitigate your hangover.
Lili’s Bistro (1310 W. Magnolia FW 76104 phone: 817-877-0700) has put out a new summer menu with 20 new wines and a wide range of entrees. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, bottles of wine are half off with a purchase of one of the new dinner items.
